Group Description for IDC:
The India Apps Program management team is responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of multiple related Oracle Applications ( EBS, PS, JDE, Edge apps, Fusion, AIA etc) projects directed toward strategic business and other organizational objectives. These programs contain complex activities that may span functions, organizations, geographic regions, and cultures.
Job Title: Senior Program Manager – IC3
Reporting to: Director
Roles & Responsibilities:
Assume lead role in the Program Management Office for a major software vendor located in the Bangalore, India. This is an exciting opportunity with a great deal of visibility, responsibility and influence. The role offers myriad opportunities and executing on those that have the biggest impact to the business and potentially the industry. This person will be working with the Senior Management to perform release management activities.
Core Responsibilities
Populate/Generate release metrics:
Work with release managers to understand the data representation needs for various products which fall under Oracle Applications unlimited area and be able to
• Build, Test and Maintain PeopleSoft release reports on Agile Product Lifecycle Analytics (PLA) – OBIEE 11g solution
• Support the management and administration of the Agile solution by running report audits, communicate system usage issues, coordinating the resolution of issues, providing specs for system changes etc.
• Provide other reporting and process audit support for PeopleSoft (e.g. bug metrics, process audits, etc.)
Additional Responsibilities
As part of a cross-product Program Management team the successful candidate may also be expected to do the following:
• Drive the release planning and execution process for Product Releases, overseeing the activities of all organizations that contribute to the product development process, defining and tracking release schdules and communicating across groups.
• Drive decision-making for each release through analysis of quantitative release data, tracking progress against plan, arbitrating to build consensus between the parties contributing to a release, identifying risk areas and building risk mitigation plans.
• Drive continuous process improvement across the organization
Skill Requirements:
• Overall 5 to 8 years experience in IT
• Experience in developing reports using OBIEE (on any release version) is mandatory
• Experience should cover working knowledge in complete software development lifecycle, from requirements definition through implementation and release.
• Experience leading/managing application development groups or implementation teams of varying sizes.
• Experience with Agile PPM and Agile PLA is nice to have.
• Experience in operations for a product development company is preferable
• Must be able to gracefully balance multiple competing priorities
• Ability to work effectively in small and large groups.
• Ability to drive activity at all levels of the company.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and presentation skills.
• Open and Good Attitude
• BE/BTech. MBA is a plus.
Requirements:
Primary: Overall 5 to 8 years experience in IT
Experience in developing reports using OBIEE (on any release version) is mandatory
Secondary: Experience with Agile PPM and Agile PLA is nice to have.
• Experience in operations for a product development company is preferable
