Principal Solution Specialist – Exadata

Provide domain leadership and excellence for the Exadata solution strategy in all aspects of engagement and support across strategic opportunities and partners in driving business opportunity and development


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Execute on the GC objectives of the Exadata sales plan, including business development, positioning, competitive objective handling and engagement with the Sales teams in GC.

Execute, engage and drive to closure strategic opportunities in Region.

Prospect, develop and lead maximum business opportunity/pipeline for Exadata; balancing tactical win with longer term strategic value and account penetration.

Enable and empower the Sales and Sales Consulting teams with effective working practice.

Be an evangelist for Exadata across all aspects – solution landscape; how it addresses business challenges, competitve environment, analyst/press

Support and drive success of key Exadata Sales Programs

Establish and drive successful Exadata focused relationships and business engagement with key Partners and SIs

Act as spokesperson on Exadata in marketing, media and analyst events


QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.

2-5 years previous pre-sales experience with database and DW / appliance products Oracle or competitor

5-10 years current sales experience, with sales responsibility to take a new/ emerging product to market Oracle or competitor

Minimum 3 years of experience working with Oracle database and related technologies (either internal, partner, ISV).

Track record of successful solution selling experience; selling and engaging on Infrastructure Solutions. A clear industry domain leader in this space.

Very high level of communication, interpersonal skills.

Self-motivator with the ability to work independently (as required) and across virtual teams

Ability to travel extensively

In depth knowledge of key competitors IBM Pure Scale; Netezza; Teradata

A history of proactive communication and sharing among the technical community

Has strong customer relationships with reference accounts

Salary:Salary would be in 70/30 split
