Job Description:
The Oracle RAC team is responsible for Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) product. Oracle RAC is a cluster database with a shared cache architecture that overcomes the limitations of traditional shared-nothing and shared-disk approaches to provide a highly scalable and available database. We work on some of the most challenging problems related to cluster/cloud computing.
Role and Responsibilities:
We are looking for candidates at both junior and senior levels for our development team at Bangalore, India.
In the role of Senior Member of Technical Staff you will be responsible for:
Design and develop solutions for upcoming requirements related to Oracle RAC
Conceptualize and analyze possible Improvements in the current product
Maintain existing code and work with test and support teams to fix defects
Provide technical guidance to other team members
Desired Skills & Experience:
The candidate should have a minimum BS/BE/BTech degree in Computer Science or related fields with preferably 1 or more years of experience. MS or PhD is a plus.
Proficiency in C, Scripting and Linux/Unix is required
Should have excellent knowledge of Computer Science concepts related to Operating Systems, Computer Networking, Data Structure and Algorithms
Knowledge in the field of distributed systems, concurrency and multi-threaded programs is desirable
Knowledge of OS internals is a must
The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and be able to deliver projects with minimal supervision
The candidate should have good verbal and written communication skills
